Regardless, most affiliates would have liked to have been given a web program that does the job for them without them having to invest time trying to write something on their own.

There are advantages to doing this, both for you, and for ClickBank. It is also advantageous for ClickBank, because by offloading your logins to their servers – which are somewhat overburdened – the login experience for remaining affiliates gets better.
